Core Beliefs

The Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New testaments to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. We further believe that the Holy Scriptures have been completely and perfectly preserved for the world in the 1611 King James Version of the Bible. We will not endorse or use any other version in any way shape or form.

The Godhead

There is one eternally self-existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each co-eternal in being, nature, power, and glory. Having the same attributes and perfections. Who resides over all creation and is alone in His being. (Isa.46:9/ Gen.1;1/ Ps.33:6/ Col.1:16..etc)

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ to be the one and only Saviour of mankind. We Believe Him to be eternally God and that He possesses all the attributes of Deity. He was virgin born, God incarnate, and that the purposes of the incarnation were to reveal God, to redeem mankind, and to rule over God's kingdom. The scriptures show Him to have been all of God, yet all of man without the faculties or abilities of a carnal nature. He cried, was hungry, was wearied in body, thirsty, and angry- yet at the exact same time He called creation and it obeyed, He raised the dead, He calmed the storm, He claimed himself God and had Gods approval of Him saying so. We believe that at the fulness of time, exactly when God the father wanted it, that Jesus freely offered Himself for all mankind as the substitutionary sacrifice for mans sin. We believe He ascended into heaven after His resurrection and is seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe Him to be king of kings and Lord of Lords, we believe He is the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end. (Isa.7:14/ Micah 5:2/ Matt.1:25/ Jhn.1:1-3/ Phil.2:5_11..etc..)

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit of God is a person who has a personality and all the attributes of Deity. We believe according to the scriptures that after the death burial and resurrection of Christ that the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost has a specific office for both the redeemeed and the lost. His office for the unregenerate world is to bring conviction of sin, of judgment, and righteousness. The Holy Spirit actively works in the lives of believers to conform us to the image of Christ, to bring the knowledge of God and His will to fruition and to convict us when we are drawn away of our own lusts. The Bible teaches that He is the earnest of our redemption, we are sealed by Him, and that He is our Comforter. We do not believe in the manifestation of tongues, special miracles, or visions in our current dispensation. We believe the scriptures are clear and that though there were miracles and signs in the days of the apostles, that those signs have ceased.

Sin and Salvation

We believe that all mankind was born with an inherited sin nature received by our first father, Adam. We believe that because of his nature, man is a sinner by choice, and that he is totally incapable of reforming himself or ceasing from his sin by his own power. We believe in the free will of mankind. Adam willingly took that which he knew was forbidden, and so man willingly sins - as an unregenerate being he is a slave to sin, sin has dominion over him, and according to the Bible he is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." The only hope of deliverance for man is a total change of mind concerning his sinful condition and inability to change it, and for Him to see Jesus Christ as His only hope and call upon Him as Saviour. Only the substitutionary sacrifice of Christ on the Cross and His resurrection power can save. All who reject Christ as their Saviour according to the scriptures are "condemned already" to an eternity in the Lake of Fire. (Rom.3:10_23/ Eph.2:8-9/ Tit.3:5-6/ Rev.20:11-14)

The Church

We believe that Christ has ordained the local church to accomplish his purposes in this dispensation, and that is made up of born again baptized believers. We believe that the church exists as a local, indigenous, autonomous body, free from any associations, committees, or other governing bodies other than the Scriptures and Jesus.

We believe that the only scriptural offices of the church are the pastor and deacons, whose qualifications are defined for us in the epistles to Timothy and Titus. We believe that there are two ordinances given to the church; 1. Baptism by immersion; and 2. The Lords Supper. We believe that every Christian, as a steward of what God has blessed them with should be committed and willing to support his/her local church financially with tithes and offerings, and those gifts should be given cheerfully and sacrificially.

Separation

The Bible specifically teaches the distinct difference between darkness and light. The lost world is defined as in darkness, and the redeemed are privileged to be called light. Because of this distinction, we are admonished and exhorted to walk in the light, and to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. This also carries over into our doctrine and practice. Although we love our neighbor and care for his soul, there are certain places, people, and things that we can not agree with or fellowship with.

The Eternal State of Man

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind; The saved to eternal life with Jesus Christ, and the Lost to judgment and everlasting punishment.

Social Issues

The world has always been in conflict with Biblical principles and Gods view of righteousness. We do not float down the stream of popular opinion just because the majority believes something to be right. The world bases their beliefs off of "feelings" and therefore the Child of God can not adopt that reasoning, It is with this view of the Bible being our sole authority for all matters of faith, life, and practice that we must define Biblically what the world pushes the masses to accept.

GENDER

According to the scriptures, God created only two, man and woman. We believe the gender issue is a direct attack on God as our Great Creator and Designer and therefore we will not cooperate nor endorse any such appeal to do so. This does not mean all are not welcome, this means we have an obligation to the scriptures, not the emotions or feelings of mankind

SEXUALITY

Because the Bible clearly defines only 2 genders, it is also very clear that God created them for each other. We also see specifically that God defines sodomy as an abomination. And therefore we must stand with Him. And because of this we will not perform nor be in any way under any obligation to perform a marriage agreement with that which God can not bless and calls an abomination. Whether the individual is confused about gender, or whether two of the same desire to unite- we can not and will not perform any such union.

ABORTION

God creates life, and He says it is precious. It is not an embryo, it is not a clump of cells, it is a life, and under no exceptions at all do we endorse or believe it to be acceptable or permissible to kill a baby.

Jhn.15:18-19

"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."

1st.Cor.6:9-11

"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

A refusal to embrace and endorse perversion does not mean that all are not welcome, or that there is "no hope" for anyone that is involved in it. We welcome all, and refuse none so much as our congregations safety is not in danger.
